It is a part of the world known for its laid-back, chilled-out demeanour but this crowd catch in a Caribbean Twenty20 clash goes above and beyond.

In the third over of the Trinbago Knight Riders’ chase against Jamaica Tallawahs, South African Test batsman Hashim Amla sent Imad Wasim’s delivery soaring back over the bowler’s head.

Flying into the back of the first elevation at Kingston’s Sabina Park, a member of the crowd caught the ball one-handed in one of the most nonchalant catches you’re ever likely to see.

Dressed in white, the man barely stretches his arm to field the massive hit, glancing coolly at the ball in hand before saluting the crowd and sending commentators into raptures.

Amla’s top score of 42 wasn’t enough for the Knight Riders, who lost regular wickets to hobble to 9/139 from their 20 overs, falling 19 short of the Tallawahs who finished at 7/158.

The explosive Chris Gayle was uncharacteristically quiet for Jamaica, facing nine balls before being dismissed without scoring. 

Rovman Powell and Andre Russell both top scored with 44.
