Nathan Lyon ruled out for BBL, Sheffield Shield seasons; Josh Hazlewood on track for T20 World Cup
Nathan Lyon has been ruled out for the next three months and will await further testing after his hamstring injury during the third Ashes Test.
Lyon left the field on day five against England when he pulled up lame fielding on the boundary.
The off-spinner had surgery following the blow and was ruled out for the remaining two Ashes Tests.

On Monday afternoon, it was confirmed by Cricket Australia that unavailability would extend into March when the Sheffield Shield season ends.

"Nathan Lyon has sustained a high-grade right hamstring injury for which he underwent successful surgical repair on December 23," CA's statement read.
"Nathan has entered an extended period of rehabilitation that will rule him out of the remainder of the domestic season.
"His return to play timeline will be determined at a later date based on his rehabilitation progression over the coming months."
Lyon is also signed to the Melbourne Renegades for the BBL and will miss that too.
The off-spinner signed with the Renegades prior to the 2023/24 season on a three-year deal. Lyon won't have played a single game in that deal.
Meanwhile, fellow Aussie star Josh Hazlewood is on track to play in the T20 World Cup after missing the Ashes with a hamstring injury and Achilles soreness.
Hazlewood has recommenced running after the Achilles setback.
Pat Cummins is also now under a "planned period of load management" to optimise his back injury recovery. Cummins returned for the third Ashes Test but was ruled out for the rest of the series to reduce the risk of further damage.
