Cricket: Tabraiz Shamsi's hilarious T20 wicket celebration

South African bowler Tabraiz Shamsi has delivered one of the most bizarre, yet hilarious celebrations in recent cricket history after dismissed Wihan Lubbe in a T20 match.

After Lubbe was caught by Hardus Viljoen off a smart Shamsi delivery, the bowler reached into his pocket and pulled out a red handkerchief.

Running around the field with the rag flowing in the air behind him was a strange enough seen, but with some clever sleight of hand Shamsi somehow managed to transform the handkerchief into a silver rod.

It's not the first time the spinner has lit up crowds with his unique wicket celebrations.

In 2016 while playing in the Indian Premier League, Shamsi was slammed by Australian cricketers David Warner and Adam Zampa after celebrating Warner's dismissal with a bus driver dance.

"In my team, if someone does that (with the score) at 150 off 15 overs I wouldn't accept that at all," said Warner, after making 92. "It's a bit fancy to be honest."

Zampa also weighed in on Twitter, writing: "Shamsi's wicket celebrations are no good."

Shamsi didn't take that lying down however, firing back at the Aussie duo.

"Pretty disappointed to see someone who doesn't even know me at all and wasn't even involved in that game making comments about me," he tweeted.

"Adam Zampa should focus a little bit more on himself and a lot less on me and my celebrations."

Shamsi continued to stir the pot earlier this year when he took off his shoe and pretended to use it as a phone when he dismissed Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan in a T20 international.
