Thank you for tuning into the blog across the night. A tough Test for the Aussies, but it sets up a blockbuster decider in Cape Town.
We will be there to see you through the third Test!
‘Disturbing’ trend Aussies must address
Following on, a rained out session and the heroics of Scott Boland were not enough to save Australia on day five in Gqeberha as South Africa finished off a statement victory to level the series.
The damage done in the first innings proved too much for the Aussies to overcome, with South Africa's 425 followed by Australia getting bowled out for 99 shaping the Test.

Bavuma (rightly) named MOTM
Temba Bavuma wins Man of the Match, and rightly so. His 179 changed the game.
South Africa was 6-110 before his performance, alongside Jansen and Harmer.
Aussies left with selection headaches
Australian coach Andrew McDonald will be left scratching his head ahead of Cape Town, after that poor performance.
With Cameron Green potentially available and poor batting performances across the board, who will find themselves dropped? Beau Webster looks the likely candidate.
Does Nathan Lyon come back in? You can’t drop Scott Boland.
There’s a lot to think about after that terrible effort.

Hazlewood gone and it’s over
Hazlewood nicks through to the slips and that’s the game.
Australia bowled out for 295.
They lose by an innings and 31 runs.
Rabada blows up Starc
Just as the tension was rising again, South Africa once again had the answer.
Rabada back into the attack and he castles Mitchell Starc.
Just as the Aussies were hoping an angry looking cloud might be close to dropping some rain.
Rabada does it again. 9-290.
Starc and Carey hanging in there
Starc and Carey have dug in here. They’ve faced over 20 balls at this point.
Carey has survived a near-LBW chance. Had the umpire given it out, an Aussie review would have failed.
There’s a few dark clouds overhead, but nothing that would force bad light any time soon. Still, there will be a sense of urgency to wrap this up for the Proteas now.
Can Australia at least force them to bat again?
Australia still sits 62 runs behind South Africa at this point.
We know Starc and Carey can both bat.
Surely they can reclaim some pride and at least force them to bat again.
They’ll need to dig in to get there.
Mulder again! Cummins gone now
Mulder is bowling beautifully. He’s crashed the stumps again and now Pat Cummins has to go.
He’s bowled Head, Boland and Cummins on day five.
8-262.
And there goes Boland
Well, there’s a jinx.
Boland clean bowled by Mulder who gets one to nip back through his defences.
His brilliant innings comes to an end.
7-256. Pat Cummins to the crease.
