WATCH: Hazlewood wicket seals win
Good night!
Thanks for tuning into our LIVE coverage of the final day between Australia and South Africa.
We’ll catch you for the next Test!
Cummins delighted with first Test win
Pat Cummins of course pays compliments to Matt Renshaw after that win and then says he himself could’ve bowled more overs if needed. A good sign for the rest of the series.
He finishes with kind words for Josh Hazlewood.
“He gets a lot of wraps for how consistent he is, but I think that undersells him a bit ... he can get the speed gun up when he wants, I feel like I can bowl him at any stage,” he said.
Bavuma speaks after loss
This loss is Temba Bavuma’s first as South Africa Test skipper.
The captain says there’ll be “lots of questions and conversations” for his side.
Bevuma believes the biggest conversation will be with his batters about the starts they made.
“Guys getting in and going big, I think that’s the biggest influence,” he said.
“If you look at the first innings they had Matt Renshaw who went and made a big score.”
Renshaw takes out player of the match honour
Matt Renshaw takes out the ‘hardest-working player’ award.
Which I guess means player of the match.
Pat Cummins wins the Radar Tyres Super Six Award for biggest six.
No wait, player of the match now goes to Matt Renshaw. So that’s two awards to him.
“I’m pretty tired to be honest, it’s been a big five days ... it was nice to be able to contribute,” he said at the post-match presentation.
Australia wins the Test!
A 214-run win sealed for Australia!
Josh Hazlewood finished with 6-49 after Anrich Nortje spooned an absolute hack of a shot to Nathan Lyon at mid-wicket.
South Africa finishes bowled out for 206 and that’s Hazlewood’s career-best figures.
But the Test no doubt belongs to Matt Renshaw after his brilliant batting and handy bowling.
A last-second review from Australia
Mitchell Starc beats Aiden Markram all ends up and there’s an appeal for caught behind.
The appeal wasn’t convincing because it looks like it hit his pad.
However, the ultra edge shows a spike next to the inside edge of Markram’s bat and now there’s a check for fair catch.
The catch is solid and Markram is gone!
A brilliant review as the opener departs for 75 from 236 balls.
Australia one wicket away from a win.

Oh what a beauty!
Josh Hazlewood has five and that’s two in the over now.
The fast bowler’s delivery reared up violently from a length and clipped the gloves of Simon Harmer.
Alex Carey took the catch and the Aussies are delighted.
“South Africa are reeling,” Mark Howard said on SuperSport.
Bowled him!
The new ball reaps rewards!
Josh Hazlewood has bowled a beauty which pitched on fourth stump and angled back in to beat the gap between bat and pad from Marco Jansen.
The ball hit middle and off with Jansen walking off for a well made 35. Simon Harmer now out there. Will Markram hog the strike?
Now we have the new ball
Cummins has taken the new ball now.
Mitchell Starc will have the first over with it. Aiden Markram is currently on 75 off 222 balls.
Josh Hazlewood likely to bowl from the other end.
