Pat Cummins has become the first Australian since Glenn McGrath in 2006 to be ranked the No.1 ICC Test bowler.

Cummins has overhauled South African paceman Kagiso Rabada in the rankings and has ended a 13-year Aussie drought at the top of the official world rankings.

The Australian quick, 25, enjoyed a strong summer against India and Sri Lanka. He won the Allan Border Medal last week as Australia's best cricketer.

Mitchell Johnson was the most recent Aussie to challenge for the top ranking, making it to No.2 in 2009.

Rabada actually fell to No.3 in the new round of rankings, with veteran England paceman James Anderson at No.2.
