'Fingers crossed': Cameron Green set for playing return in push for Test recall
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has recovered from back surgery and is ready to play again in his bid to regain selection for the World Test Championship final.
But in light of Beau Webster's seamless entrance into the Test arena, Josh Inglis' century in Sri Lanka, and the selection uncertainty surrounding both Marnus Labuschagne and Sam Konstas, whether Green will slot back into the XI for the Lord's clash is difficult to predict.
Green hasn't played cricket at any level since undergoing back surgery last October, but the 25-year-old is set to return as a batter via the UK's County Championship in three weeks' time.

He doesn't plan on resuming bowling until he returns Down Under ahead of the summer, in which Australia will host England in the Ashes.
"The surgery [recovery] has been incredible. I think I was probably off [my] legs for about two weeks. And after that I've been doing gym work for the last four or five months, been running for the last two months, been batting for the last month. It's been pretty seamless. So, yeah, pretty happy I got it done," Green said.
"It's for the long-term goal of playing cricket for as long as I can, bowling for as long as I can. I got it for that reason, solely.
"Obviously I could have healed [the stress fracture] over nine months, but I took the option to get the surgery, and hopefully, fingers crossed, that's the last of it, which would be nice."

Green will feature in five matches for Gloucestershire across April and May, playing for a side captained by former Australian Test opener Cameron Bancroft.
Green batted at No.4 in Test cricket prior to undergoing surgery and the West Australian has a solid batting record for an all-rounder, having compiled 1377 runs, including two centuries, at an average of 36.23.
He's now hoping to return to the side to face South Africa in the World Test Championship final, to be played at Lord's from June 11.
Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, Travis Head and Alex Carey appear to be top-seven certainties, but how the selection committee chaired by George Bailey will fill the remaining spots is hard to call.
"I think we've got an ultra-successful top five, six, seven, so it's never easy," Green said.
"But that's where you want it to be in a Test team; you want someone to rise to the challenge, take that position for themselves, and that's what's been done.
"They've had another ultra-successful summer, and I was so happy watching.
"But at the same time, you always want to get back into the team. So we'll wait and see what happens."
