Luckless star Glenn Maxwell suffers injury scare in return game from broken leg
Luckless Aussie all-rounder Glenn Maxwell had another injury scare during his return to the field from a broken leg.
The 34-year-old had hoped to be picked for Australia's Test tour of India before an accident at a birthday party in November broke his leg and sidelined him for most of the summer.
He returned to line up for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield this week, and with the Test squad facing an injury crisis is hoping to play himself into contention for a shock late call-up.

But on Tuesday while fielding at slip against South Australia in St Kilda, an edged ball bounced into his wrist and forced him off the field.

While it was first suspected Maxwell had broken his wrist, Victoria later said the damage was not significant.
Maxwell has played seven Test matches for his country but hasn't worn the baggy green since September 2017.
The Aussies are facing the possibility of opening batter David Warner missing the remaining two matches after he was concussed, and suffered an elbow fracture, during the loss in Delhi.
Fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the tour, while Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc are yet to feature as they recover from finger injuries.
Given Maxwell can bat and bowl off-spin, a desperate Aussie squad will surely have given thought to flying him to the subcontinent.
