    Cricket fan takes a tumble

If a thrilling run chase by Australia wasn't already enough, fans at Hobart's Blundstone Arena for the one-day clash with England were also entertained by one spectator who took an embarrassing tumble over the advertising hoardings.

The over-enthusiastic fan showed great commitment as he tried to collect a Brad Haddin boundary, but came off second-best as he flipped over the fence, much to the delight of the other 10,783 spectators - and the Channel 9 commentators.

Worse still for the unfortunate fan, he didn't even manage to collect the ball following Haddin's well-struck shot, with a fellow spectator getting his hands on the leather instead.

Australia ended up posting a three-wicket win in Hobart after chasing down a target of 304.

With 10 overs remaining, the hosts needed 73 runs from 60 balls, with stand-in captain Steve Smith and playmaker Haddin helping to reel in the total.

Haddin (42 off 29) produced an entertaining display, blasting a string of boundaries and a six and after his dismissal Australia needed just six runs from 13 balls.

They reached the target with one ball to spare.

Smith finished unbeaten with 102 off 95 balls after a solid innings including six boundaries and a six to help guide his team to victory and a guaranteed place in the tri-series final.
