Club cricket team pull off miraculous wicket

Here's an early contender for the summer of cricket's classic catches. Doesn't get any better than this!

Footage provided to Nine News Border North East showed one of the flukiest wickets you'll ever see.

In the Albury-Wodonga cricket competition, a bowler was hit on the full on his ankle by a straight drive.

Showing cat-like reflexes he stuck his leg out to stop a certain four, but fortuitously the bowler also popped the ball up in the air. This allowed a fielder at mid off to chase it down for a ridiculous catch.

The bowler and other fielders ran in to celebrate the miraculous wicket, clearly in shock they had pulled it off, while the batsman was sent back to the pavilion.
