'A pinch-me moment': Brisbane Heat etch their names into the history books with insane win over the Perth Scorchers
A remarkable second innings at the Gabba on Friday left the Perth Scorchers in shock as the Brisbane Heat pulled off a historic 258-run chase to claim an eight-wicket victory.
In front of 24,277 stacked crowd, Matt Renshaw and Jack Wildermuth teamed up to produce a remarkable 212-run partnership to punch the Heat one step closer to victory.
The visitors were left to chase 258 runs off 120 balls following Perth young gun Cooper Connolly and Finn Allen's success with the bat, recording 77 and 79 respectively.

Colin Munro was sent packing on the first delivery of the Heat's innings, leaving many fearing that the side's hopes of coming close to their rival's score would be slim.
However, a miracle recovery left everyone on the edge of their seats, with Renshaw and Wildermuth tearing up the ball to record 212 runs.

Brisbane were 1-79 after six overs and had a faster run rate than Perth. It was only a matter of time before the real show got underway with Renshaw and Wildermuth.
Their partnership was not cut short until shortly after Renshaw had raised the bat - the fourth ton in the club's history - with Laurie Evans nailing the stumps to run his rival out.
"This has been an astonishing innings," Shane Watson said in commentary on Fox Cricket.
"That is unbelievable tonight. The batting has been phenomenal," added Brendon Julian.

His replacement, Max Bryant, only survived 16 balls at the crease before he had to retire, having slipped when turning for a run and appearing to dislocate his shoulder.
Still, his time at the crease was just enough to ensure the Heat's successful run chase would go down in the history books at the biggest achieved in the BBL's history.
On the global stage, it is the third-largest successful run chase.
"I still don't really believe it. A bit of a pinch-me moment, a lot of goosebumps," Renshaw said of the Heat's history-making win.
"A lot of people probably put us out of the contest, and probably we did as well when we lost that first wicket.
"Just that never-say-die attitude.
"It was just trust yourself. We had a bit of luck on our side as well tonight."
