Talking points: Umpire's chuckle at Cummins mullygrubber; DJ causes delay at Grenada; Green 'a lot better' at No.3

The spirit of the Caribbean was on full display in Grenada on day one of the second Test between Australia and the West Indies.

DJs were causing delays, as was the rain and bad light.

Then we had irregular bounce at the National Cricket Stadium that sent Pat Cummins on his way.

DRS also went in favour of the West Indies this time, compared to the first Test.

Here are the talking points from day one.

UMPIRE'S CHUCKLE SUMS UP CUMMINS MISERY

The Australian skipper had every reason to be very deflated after he was bowled by Alzarri Joseph.

Joseph had bowled a bouncer the previous delivery and then pitched it up only slightly. This time there was no bounce and Cummins, who had one foot in the air ready to ramp the ball, was bowled.

Joseph was laughing with his teammates and even umpire Richard Kettleborough was captured having a chuckle with Adrian Holdstock.

But perhaps the most telling reaction was all-rounder Justin Greaves in the slips.

Simply because there was no reaction. He stood there with an expressionless face, and ironically that said it all.

"A good indication with that wicket of Pat Cummins, look in the background, look at the face of Justin Greaves, he doesn't know whether he should be celebrating or concerned about the way in which that wicket fell," Ian Bishop said on ESPN.

MUSICIANS, KIDS CAUSING HAVOC IN GRENADA

In the 56th over in the third session, play was brought to a short halt after the DJ kept the tunes pumping.

The umpire put his hand out to stop Justin Greaves' run-up and waved his hands to the crowd. At mid-off Alzarri Joseph could be seen putting his hands in the air too.

"The DJ's getting a bit excited so they need to shut him up ... and they do," Ian Bishop said on ESPN's commentary.

Greaves' delivery was defended by Pat Cummins before the music started up again.

The DJ was back to his antics late in the day at 5pm local time.

"The DJ is getting a little antsy, a couple of occasions in the last two overs since the rain break, the umpires have had to tell him to turn the music down, there's still a game of cricket being played," Carlos Braithwaite said in the 62nd over.

There was some more crowd mayhem during Steve Smith's innings when he repeatedly signalled for a kid to sit down during the 13th over.

The child kept walking around above the sightscreen until an adult eventually sat him down, waving apologetically towards Smith.

Smith was then dismissed the next ball, hooking to deep fine leg, caught by Anderson Phillip.

IT WAS A START, ARE WE SATISFIED?

Cameron Green is back scoring runs ... sort of.

The all-rounder has been forecasted as a long-term No.3. However, much conjecture suggests he's a natural No.4.

Nonetheless, first drop is his position for now and it's been a rocky start for the generational talent - 4, 0, 3 and 15 have been his previous scores.

His 26 in this second Test didn't set the world on fire but the intent was there off his 37 balls.

"I thought he looked a lot better today," Greg Blewett said on ESPN's Around The Wicket.

"I thought we saw what the Australian selectors are seeing by putting him at No.3 ... he was a lot more fluent today."

Green had some luck too, though. In the same over he was dismissed, he'd been dropped by John Campbell at cover which will probably go down as the biggest sitter of the series.

Jayden Seales managed to get back his pride with the last ball of the over, with Green edging to gully.

"John Campbell will be the most relieved man on the field," Bishop said.

Concerningly for Green, it was another half volley outside off stump and a ball he could've put away.
