That run out was the only blip for Australia under the lights, and they go into the sheds 1-42.

Stuart Broad has been caught by Travis Head to end England's innings on 236.

Mitchell Starc delivered the ball to take his fourth wicket in 37 balls across 16.1 overs.

Broad finished on nine from 17 balls, while James Anderson managed 5 not out.

Australia will not follow on, sending their opening batters to change and prepare.

This tactic will see Australia's bowlers rested before potentially declaring sometime tomorrow.

Stuart Broad has copped a knock to the chin, following a delivery from Jhye Richardson.

Broad was struck in the helmet, initiating a compulsory concussion test to be completed on the field.

The No.10 batter did not appear in any distress and chose to continue his innings.

While winding up to send the ball towards the boundary, Ben Stokes has been bowled by Cameron Green.

Stokes was dismissed on 34/97 after pulling up a little ginger throughout his innings.

Australia continues to close in as England sits at 9-220.

James Anderson is England's last batter to make his way down the race.

Nathan Lyon has claimed consecutive wickets, dismissing Ollie Robinson for a duck.

Robinson sent the decision upstairs but ultimately it was confirmed as lbw after bouncing off his pad.

Lyon has three wickets from 47 balls.

The work for England now falls to Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad as they trail by 265 runs.

Nathan Lyon has bowled Chris Woakes on 24/39.

Woakes looked dangerous after striking five shots across the rope.

England are racing to add to their score of 7-202.

England great Kevin Pietersen has been extremely vocal during the series, and popped up again on Saturday morning UK time to take a shot at Aussie spinner Nathan Lyon.

Pietersen was perturbed at England's slow run rate during the second session, particularly against the off-spinner.

"Can SOMEONE please smack Lyon?!?!! FFS!" He wrote on Twitter.

"Off spinner with zero variations and bowling on world crickets flattest road!!!!"

Australian journalist Nic Savage quickly pointed out that Lyon had actually taken KP's wicket four times, with only Shane Warne, Muttiah Muralitharan and Saeed Ajmal being more successful.

Pietersen bit straight back, saying that you needed to look at the context of those wickets - and he may have a point.

During the 2013 Ashes in England and 2013-14 series in Australia when they crossed paths, Pietersen was dismissed by Lyon four times, but did take 163 off the spinner's bowling at a strike rate of more than 70.

The Australian fielders have once again shown their class, sending Jos Buttler packing with no runs.

David Warner caught Mitchell Starc's delivery to dismiss Buttler.

In 14 balls, Buttler was unable to record any runs.

Starc now stands at 3/35 after 12 overs, as Chris Woakes comes in for England.
