Luke Jackson celebrates defeating Tyson Lantry by unanimous decision.
Overcoming alcohol and drug addiction, Jackson had a message for anyone who is battling mental health challenges.
"Tyson Lantry has been on my mind since December 2020 and he's lived in my head for two-plus years," he said post-fight.
"He'll forever [be] a big part of my life because he was the starting point for me to make a change.
"I'm 840 days sober; I haven't had a drink, no cocaine, no drugs.
"I'm living proof you can get out of it - I was in a dark place.
"If I had to go through that loss to Tyson [in 2020] to make a change, I'd go through with it 10 times over because I'm the man I am today because of that."
Jackson ends on a high
Luke Jackson closed the door on his decades-long boxing career with a win over Tyson Lantry by unanimous decision.
The 38-year-old, extracted revenge for a previous loss against Lantry, finishing with 94 power shots across six rounds.
Speaking afterward, Jackson said he was leaving boxing on his own terms.
