We'll see you back in a few weeks for Tim Tszyu's return against Joey Spencer.

After more than 1000 days out of the ring, Thurman was fired up after the fight and has vowed to continue his comeback.

"My love for the sport is still here, that's why I did what I did today baby," he said.

"I came here to prove to the world that Keith Thurman is back in action.

"I just wanted to get in the ring, box hard and smart. Once I saw all the anger in him, I thought I'd let him use that up in the first round.

Thurman is now slated to a clash with Tim Tszyu, provided the Aussie can overcome Joey Spencer next month in Newcastle.

"I'm quite pumped up. He just got the appetiser," Tszyu said.
