NBL investigating Adelaide 36ers training incident after backboard falls on player
The National Basketball League (NBL) has confirmed a training accident involving Adelaide's Ben Griscti has led to him being in hospital, with the circumstances set to be investigated.
ESPN revealed Griscti injured his neck at training after a backboard fell on his head.
The 36ers were preparing for their final game at the league's pre-season tournament, NBL Blitz.

"The NBL is aware of a training incident involving Adelaide 36ers' player, Benjamin Griscti at AIS Arena this afternoon," the NBL's statement read on Saturday.
"Griscti is in a stable condition in hospital. The circumstances surrounding the incident will be investigated.
"The NBL advises that currently, Blitz games scheduled for 30th August will continue."
The backboard reportedly fell after a teammate's dunk.
Griscti signed with the 36ers in 2024 on a three-year deal.
The 211cm centre was born and raised in Adelaide before playing college basketball with Incarnate Word and UC Riverside.
