Aussie tennis sensation Nick Kyrgios has declared he is ready to shoulder the burden of home expectations for the Australian Open.
The teenager who enters the cauldron wearing pink earphones and diamond earrings is the latest name to take up the mantle of Australia’s next great hope.
After a stellar 2014, where he reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon, knocking out Rafael Nadal along the way, Kyrgios is leading the next wave of home grown athletes taking on the world.
