Crows star to face court after pedestrian allegedly hit by car
Adelaide star Josh Worrell will face court over a car crash in which he allegedly struck a pedestrian last week.
Nine’s Braden Ingram on Tuesday said Worrell “will be charged with aggravated driving without due care and failing to present to police within 90 minutes after a collision which resulted in injury”.

A court date has not been set.
It follows an incident last Friday morning when a pedestrian was allegedly struck by Worrell’s car on Port Road in Adelaide as the player was on his way to Crows training.
Worrell, 25, was said to be shaken after the incident but did not present himself to police until later in the day.
The pedestrian presented to hospital with minor injuries.
Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks spoke to media on Tuesday.
“It’s been a pretty challenging few days for Josh [that] he’s working through after his accident,” Nicks said.
“We’re just doing whatever we can to support him through that.”
The Crows on Friday had attempted to play down the incident as a minor car accident, without mention of the pedestrian.
The club later released a statement with more detail.
“The Adelaide Football Club can confirm one of its players was in a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian this morning,” the statement read.
“The matter has been reported to South Australia Police and at this stage, the club is not in a position to provide any further comment.”
Worrell played in Adelaide’s win over Gold Coast on Saturday.
The tall defender has played 71 games for Adelaide since being selected with pick 28 in the 2019 draft, and had a breakout season in 2025, making the All-Australian squad.
