Geelong 'witches hats' thrashed by Port Adelaide as coach Chris Scott fumes and Patrick Dangerfield struggles
Port Adelaide has stunned Geelong, causing one of the upsets of the season at the Adelaide Oval.
The Power dominated after quarter time, and only their inaccuracy kept the Cats in the mix in the 13.17. (95) to 10.5. (65) victory.
Geelong coach Chris Scott was visibly disappointed with what was unfolding watching from the commentary box, and North Melbourne great David King doesn't blame him.

"He'd be livid with some of the efforts that he's seeing Chris Scott, from his forwards and midfielders. They are just allowing coast-to-coast movement … but even basic plays (from Port) have become really standard moving the ball down the ground. They look out of sorts behind the ball," King told Fox Footy.
"This is 'witches hats' stuff. He would be ropable. I know they've rested or managed some players, but to put this performance forward interstate, I think Chris Scott would be stripping the paint off the walls at half time."

Injury was added to insult for the Cats as well, with veteran swingman Mark Blicavs suffering an ugly looking knee injury during the game. Geelong confirmed the injury as a hyperextended lateral ligament.
They also managed key defender Sam De Koning and removed him from the side at the last minute. Without the pair of talls, Port Adelaide controlled the ruck and the air all night.
Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield also struggled massively in the loss, finding only four disposals, three of those coming in the final stages of the game.
The 36-year-old played exclusively key forward and with the team's struggles, was rarely involved.
Up the other end, Port Adelaide key forward Mitch Georgiades will feel like he left a big night on the table, kicking four goals and six behinds.
The Power's midfield stars dominated, with Jason Horne-Francis and Zak Butters combining for 64 disposals, while the former won 12 clearances.
Bailey Smith led the way for Geelong with 30 disposals, while spearhead Jeremy Cameron booted three goals from just nine disposals.
The Power get their third win of the season, adding to their strong performance against Hawthorn last week.
Geelong meanwhile slip to eighth on the ladder with four wins and take on the in-form North Melbourne next week.
