Harvey Langford left bloodied by umpire's elbow as chaos ensues during fiesty Demons and Suns clash
An elbow to the head from an umpire, melees and a "dangerous" collision all featured in Gold Coast's clash with Melbourne as the Suns won 15.14 (104) - 12.13 (85).
The first incident came late in the first quarter when Harvey Langford left the field with blood coming from his face.
Langford was being attended to by medical staff when footage showed he copped an elbow from the umpire after a ruck contest.

"Have we ever seen that before? A player injured by an umpire elbow," caller Dwayne Russell said on Fox Footy.
Langford eventually returned and had 19 touches across the match.
The next moment came when Harrison Petty was met front on by Brayden Fiorini as they both raced towards the ball.
Petty was concussed from the collision and left the field.
"That is dangerous," Alistair Lynch said.
"... if someone is over the ball, you can't turn."

Then came the most controversial incident of the match in the third quarter when Touk Miller kicked inside 50.
The ball hang in the air as Ben Ainsworth positioned himself for a mark but Steven May tried to spoil and instead connected with the head.

Players from both sides then came together before Ainsworth picked up the ball and ran away to score.
Johnathan Brown didn't judge May's hit as "malicious".
"At the end of the day, he had every right to go for it, yes he was late, yes pay the free kick but I'm not sure he deserved that treatment, Steven May," he said.
For the majority of the game, the Suns were dominant, leading by 36 points at the first break after Melbourne recorded only one behind.
By half time the score was 8.9 (57) - 5.3 (33).
The Suns had put a bow on it by the third quarter, leading by 46 points at the final break before finishing victorious. In a losing side, Demons star Jake Melksham led the goalscorers tally with five while Christian Petracca had 32 touches.
