Geelong axes premiership hero Cam Guthrie after horror injury run
Geelong has delisted midfielder Cameron Guthrie after 240 games, revealing on Monday they would not offer him a contract.
The 33-year-old has only played 10 games since lifting the 2022 premiership cup, dealing with significant Achilles, foot and quad injuries.
He didn't feature at AFL level once in 2025, meaning there was over 500 days between his last game and his delisting.

Guthrie played 240 games for Geelong and was a key piece of their midfield for over a decade.

His best season came in 2020 where he won the Cats' best and fairest and made the All-Australian team on the wing.
He would then win the best and fairest again in 2022, doing so in a premiership year.
Geelong list boss Andrew Mackie, who also played alongside Guthrie, thanked the midfielder for his efforts over the years.
"Cam has been an outstanding and dedicated servant of the Geelong Football Club, both on and off the field," Mackie said.
"He has been ultra-consistent and had the special ability to elevate his game in key moments and times of success, particularly throughout our 2022 premiership campaign.
"Cam will always be a great Geelong person, with his influence extending well beyond what he achieved on the field."
Former teammate Josh Jenkins posted on social media: "Remarkable professional, Cam Guthrie. As diligent as they come. A silent assassin in the way he goes about his business. An emerging club could do worse than take a look."

Guthrie is the older brother of fellow Geelong player Zach Guthrie, who has played 128 games for the club since joining the club in 2016.
The Cats had a quiet trade period, bringing in midfielder James Worpel to help fill the void left by Guthrie over the last few years.
They failed to land stars Rowan Marshall and Charlie Curnow, who both requested a trade to the club.
Geelong fell short in the 2025 grand final, going down to Brisbane despite entering hot favourites.
