'Sickening' collision leaves Lion, Kangaroo bloodied and battered
Brisbane midfielder Jarrod Berry and North Melbourne defender Luke McDonald were both left bloodied after an ugly collision in the first quarter of their clash in Hobart.
Berry was subbed out almost immediately with a concussion, while McDonald needed immediate attention as blood streamed down his face.
The former Roos captain was attempting to intercept a kick and clearly did not see Berry, running straight into him.

The umpire immediately stopped play, realising the significance of the situation as Berry, a member of the Lions' triumphant 2024 AFL grand final team, looked concussed before he had even hit the turf.
Commentator Anthony Hudson described the incident as "sickening", while Brownlow Medallist Gerard Healy believes it was simply an unfortunate accident.
McDonald, 30, returned to the game after having the blood cleared up.
Berry has played 168 AFL games for the Lions since being selected with pick 17 in the 2016 draft.
