What are your training gear favourites?
I wear footy boots most of the time when I’m training, and my favourites would be the Asics Menace. Even when I do my field running sessions, I prefer to run in those. I’m just used to them, and they feel great.

Do you have gym bag must-haves that you take everywhere?
I use my team backpack for most things, but the essentials are always water bottles and Apple Airpods. I’ve been doing a lot of training on my own lately, so music is a must.

Is there anything that makes you feel more confident for a game?
I always use Bondi Sands fake tan before I play. I don’t know what it is, but it just makes me feel better! I usually do it the night before or two nights before a game. And then we always do our hair really nicely before we play. It’s a bit of a footy thing with the girls. Once the braids are in, you feel ready.

What’s your typical morning routine?
I try and drink water as soon as I wake up. Especially now, being pregnant, staying hydrated is so important. I try and get out in the sun if it’s out, and I wear a tallow sunscreen every day. My skincare favourite is Dermalogica, and I don’t wear much makeup day to day when I’m training. I keep it pretty simple, stay hydrated and try to have a good breakfast with lots of protein.
Exercise has always been a major part of my life because I’ve been sporty my whole life, so movement is always a non-negotiable for me. Even more so being pregnant, you just feel so much better after you’ve been for a walk or managed to get in a little training session. My body feels better for it; my mind feels better for it. I definitely think exercise gives you a natural glow.

Do you have any recovery top picks?
They’re a little different at the moment being pregnant, but when I’m not pregnant, I love heat. Saunas, spas, that sort of thing. I feel like they’re really good for my muscles. As a team, we lean into keeping our bodies warm rather than cold plunges. And I love a massage. I’ve been getting pregnancy massages lately, and it’s honestly the best thing ever.

Is there anything you swear by to help relax and wind down?
Going for a walk is such a great way to either finish the day or start the morning, especially if I’ve had a hectic time. I love walking. If I can walk to get breakfast rather than jump in the car, I will. And honestly sometimes I just love rotting in front of the TV too.

What have been your pregnancy saviours?
I’ve actually had a really amazing pregnancy so far. No morning sickness or anything really difficult, which has been great. Coming from such an active lifestyle, keeping movement and hydration as consistent as I can have been really important for my peace of mind.
The intensity has dropped, but I’m still trying to do similar sessions to what I was doing before. I feel like sometimes people really limit what pregnant women can do and what we’re capable of. It’s been nice to prove to myself that I can still move my body, and that’s made me feel really good.

Do you have any travel essentials?
I always take something comfy to change into on the plane, usually an Asics tracksuit. And I make sure I always have water to stay hydrated. We quite often take our own food rather than eating the plane food.
Being really prepared with nutrition before getting on a plane or when doing long drives is so important. When you’re out west sometimes you don’t get great options to stop and eat, so packing your own is the way to go.

Have you bought anything recently that has lived up to the hype?
I bought some of those Rhode under-eye patches recently, the under-eye pad things that are meant to make you feel really good. I haven’t tried them yet, so I can’t confirm they live up to the hype, but they look really pretty!
