Yassmin Abdel-Magied compares Australia to abusive boyfriend
Activist Yassmin Abdel-Magied left Australia for a life in London earlier this year following a string of controversies. Now, the self-coined “most publicly hated Muslim” has returned - and is already claiming that she has “No s----s left to give”.
During an interview with The Project, the 26-year-old addressed backlash she has faced this year, and compared the country to an abusive boyfriend.
When asked how she explains her move to new friends in London, and whether she missed Australia while away, she replied: “It is hard. It is dating like ... an abusive guy.
“You love a lot of things about them, but they hurt you deep. So what do you do? What do you tell people? Do you tell them about the great times you had. How grateful you were for all of the good stuff or tell them they traumatised you in a way that you will never be the same for?”
