Woolies worker shares tip for finding the best bargains in store

A Woolworths staffer has shared the secret to finding the best prices in store, and all it takes is a change in settings on the supermarket's app, which is much easier than chasing down a store worker to ask them for directions.

Liam Kirley has shared the advice in a video that has been posted on the supermarket's TikTok account @woolworths_au.

In it, we see Liam explain, "I'm going to show you a hack so you can shop quicker at Woolworths" before he opens the app to take viewers through the setting change.

"Using our WUsing our W you can hack your shopping by using our list function," he says.

"Make sure you set your location to the store you shop at, simply press the item that you want to add to your list or you can scan the barcode from an item you already have and add it to your list.

"Change the mode to 'in store' mode and sort by aisle location. The list will categorise all the items into aisles so you can easily navigate and find your products."

The Woolworths app is arguably the most advanced supermarket shopping app in Australia, offering an online shopping function as well as this feature highlighted by Liam.

"This will make my shopping so much easier," comments one TikTok follower.

One Woolworths customer says her local store has "recently had a facelift" so this feature has come in handy.

"STOPPP, this is a game changer," comments another. "I always get lost."

"Would be nice if customers could use the app instead of asking staff," says another TikToker.

Another customer joins in on the conversation to cheekily ask Woolies for their Anzac biscuit recipe, a request that is understandably met with silence.

Liam has become Woolworth's most trusted spokesperson, regularly sharing advice on the company's TikTok account including how their famous banana bread is made and best ways to use self-check outs.
