Woolworths has launched an exciting new shopping bag into its stores, just in time for Easter, and consumers can't seem to get enough.

For just $2 Woolies shoppers can pick up the new limited edition Hot Cross Bun reusable bag; an orange tote bag with hot cross buns all over it.

It comes after the Aussie supermarket giant released the Universal Bag and Mini Universal Bag designed by Anya Hindmarch.

Other bags currently available at the supermarket include the reusable paper shopping bag, which retails for $0.25 cents, and the classic tote bag for $0.99.

The new bags can be picked up in the store's bakery section.

Woolworths Bag Category Manager Natasha Evans told nine.com.au in a statement: "We love hot cross bun season at Woolies and we know our customers love it too. So why not turn them into the ultimate Easter accessory?"

"For just $2 this limited-edition bag is a bit of fun for the weekly shop. It's the perfect size for an egg hunt or for carrying a fresh six-pack of buns home for morning tea.

"Customers love our limited-offer products, so we don't expect these to stay on shelves for long."

Supermarket giant Coles previously released a limited-edition $3 Miffy shopping bag, while Aldi has some reusable bags designed in collaboration with George Rose and Lynn Bremner.

It comes after it was revealed that Aussie shoppers have a gripe with self-service checkouts at major supermarkets, having to do the work of staff for free at the register as grocery prices rise.

Grocery prices that have increased include the basics and kitchen staples like bread, milk, eggs, and even chocolate.

This all comes amid the cost-of-living crisis.

A recent Canstar Blue survey revealed that Aussie shoppers are cutting down the costs of their groceries in the meat department, and are often shopping around for best value or bulk-buying.
