He Said She Said: Do women get criticised for dieting while men get praised?
Dieting is a touchy enough subject as it is — but is there a difference between how we react to women versus men on a 'health kick'?
Presenter Shelly Horton says we're in for a "definite he said she said" on the topic, claiming women are often criticised for losing weight or changing their lifestyle because it can be seen as "vain".
He Said She Said: The online trolling experience that saw Ben Fordham step back from Twitter
Shelly believes women often get judged when they go on a health kick. Supplied
"When women start going on a health kick — they often get judged," she tells co-host Ben Fordham, suggesting women are more likely to hear phrases like: "oh you know you're a bit obsessed with your looks."
However, when "blokes" go on a health kick Shelly argues there's nothing but praise and applause.
"It's like champ! You're looking after yourself!" she says.
"Double standard, 100%"
He Said, She Said: What's the best way to meet a partner?
"Hogwash." Supplied
Clearly the touchy subject hits a bit of nerve because Ben calls Shelly's claims complete "hogwash".
Do we judge people on a health kick differently if they're a man or a woman?
