Woman texts her new boss instead of her boyfriend

A woman in the UK may have had an awkward morning at work after she accidentally texted her boss instead of her boyfriend.

The best part? She's known her manager for two days, and the message was a animation of her as a pig demanding Chinese food.

Issie Carmody, who is a makeup artist, intended to send the message to her boyfriend, not realising it went to her new manager.

She screenshotted the message and posted it, along with the video, to Facebook, writing:

"Guys I'm actually f---ng mortified... I recently got a new manager at my work, and I've known her for TWO days!" she wrote.

"I wanted to send my boyfriend an Animoji of me as a pig saying that I wanted a Chinese... well ... I've sent it to my new manager and it's the most idiotic video I have ever created."

Carmody realised her mistake right away and immediately messaged her boss to apologise.

"Not at all it's so funny," her boss replied.

The post was liked and shared thousands of times ,with lots of people commenting on the young woman's situation.

"This is HILARIOUS," one user wrote, with others commenting saying the mix-up was something they'd do.

Fortunately the story ended well, with Issie letting everyone know via Facebook that her boyfriend did, indeed, picked her up some Chinese takeaway.

Posting a photo of the meal, she said: "Guess who got her Chinese finally."
