A woman has revealed the horrifying result of mixing alcohol and new lip fillers in a viral TikTok video.

UK woman Morgan Proudlock plumped her lips with injectable filler before spending the night drinking alcohol with friends.

Morgan woke up the next morning with her lips swollen and puffy, an apparent allergic reaction to lip filler and copious amounts of booze.

"When I drank alcohol after having lip fillers and woke up like this. The worst thing I have ever done, pain was ridiculous," Morgan captioned the video.

The video attracted over 70,000 views and comments from women who had similar experiences.

"I drank after [too], the pain was unbearable," one person wrote.

"I got mine done on the morning of my birthday and went out that night and was fine, they swelled a bit more than normal but I liked it," another said.

Morgan used her video as a warning to other women who regularly have filler injected into their lips.

"It's because I drank and you [sic] not meant to straight after so I'd advise you [to avoid] alcohol for a few days," she shared.

According to B Clinic, you should avoid drinking any alcohol for 24 hours before lip filler injections as alcohol is a "vasodilator" that dilates blood vessels.

"In simple terms, alcohol causes your blood vessels to dilate and become wider. This means the blood vessels in your lips take up more space beneath the skin, increasing the risk of bruising," the clinic states.

"Alcohol can also cause fluid retention that can increase the risk of swelling."
