Mum of three dies at popular holiday resort

Tributes are flowing for a mum of three who suddenly died on a family holiday over the weekend.

Sioned Evans, 33, collapsed at a popular holiday park in Prestatyn, North Wales, at about 7:30am local time on Saturday.

Emergency services rushed to the scene upon reports a woman had gone into cardiac arrest. However, Sioned could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

News of her sudden passing has reportedly sent shocks through her small town, with those who knew the mum posting tributes on a fundraising page set up by family friend, Vincent Graham.

"On Saturday I received devastating news that Sioned had passed away unexpectedly whilst on a family break away with her family," wrote Graham.

"Sioned was only 33-years-old, a loving partner to Rob and a loving mother to their three young boys.

"Rob and his family are absolutely heartbroken over the loss of Sioned, the love of his life and life will never be the same for him and the boys."

A councillor from the small Welsh town Evans hailed from has spoken out about the wave of grief that rocked the town.

"There is an outpouring of grief and shock," Councillor Jason Parry said.

"I have spoken to my sister who knew her quite well and I have a barber's shop in the town and lots of people have spoken about it and it's just such a shock to everybody.

"When tragedies do happen here, the sense of community and support is incredible and they always rally round to support people."

In a statement, police said the death is not being treated as suspicious, adding: "However a post mortem will be conducted in due course."
