They were the adorable words that melted millions of hearts: "Oh my God, baby. You're the Olympic champion!"

When Olympic long jumper Tara Davis won her hard-fought gold medal at Paris 2024, she ran straight into the arms of one very special person: her husband, Paralympian Hunter Woodhall.

Their sweet celebration soon became the symbol for what has been arguably one of the most romantic Olympic Games of all time.

And in the City of Love, no less.

Videos of this incredible post-medal celebration reached millions on social media platforms.

One video capturing the couple has a staggering 27.5 million views and five million likes.

"It was such a relief and a 'finally' moment," Davis-Woodhall later told NBC about her win.

"I was just looking into his eyes and I didn't know where I was. I almost blacked out for a second and he just made the moment so much more special."

The couple, who first crossed paths at a track meet in 2017, have been married since 2022.

Stephen Nedoroscik snaps into action

Stephen Nedoroscik burst onto the internet during the men's gymnastics final at Paris 2024, quickly being dubbed "pommel horse guy" after completing a near perfect routine with a score of 14.866.

But it wasn't just his skill that made the internet fall in love with him, rather it was his resemblance to the fictional Clark Kent.

And while waiting nearly three hours for his turn during the men's final, Nedoroscik was spotted cheering on his teammates, playing charades, solving a Rubik's cube and even taking a nap.

It was what came next that made the internet swoon, comparing the gymnast to the heartthrob superhero as he whipped off his black thick frame glasses to step up and compete.

"Obsessed with this guy on the US men's gymnastics team who's only job is pommel horse," wrote a Twitter user.

"He just sits there until he's activated like a sleeper agent, whips off his glasses like Clark Kent and does a pommel horse routine that helps deliver the team its first medal in 16 years."

But despite having captured hearts across the globe, it seems that Nedoroscik's own heart was captured long ago.

"History = Made," wrote Tess McCracken, Nedoroscik's long term partner, in an Instagram post congratulating him on the win.

"The most insane, magical day watching you close it out to bring home the first team medal for USA in sixteen years Words can't capture how proud I am of you."

Queen Mary hugs our Aussie swimmers

Queen Mary reminded us all that, although she's a Danish royal, she's still an Aussie at heart.

After the Aussies clinched gold during the women's 4x200m freestyle relay, there was a huge frenzy when the swimmers ran up to the Tasmanian-born royal for a cuddle.

Ariarne Titmus was quick to notice Queen Mary in the stands, who had watched eagerly on as the swimming champion anchored Australia to gold.

The 23-year-old Olympian jogged over to fellow Tasmanian Mary, gold medal in tow, and went straight into her arms for a celebratory hug.

After winning her 10th medal at the vault final, Biles also teased the possibility of competing at Los Angeles 2028.
