Popular blogger who shared her pregnancy battle dies during emergency C-section

In a tragic turn of events, a much-loved pregnancy blogger has died while undergoing an emergency Caesarean.

Spanish woman Vanessa Fernandez Arango inspired thousands with her pregnancy battle, documenting her IVF journey on Instagram.

The 30-year-old's husband, Jonathan Garcia, 32, made the sad announcement on his wife's Twitter account.

"This is Vanessa's husband. They have carried out an emergency Cesarean. The baby is in intensive care. Vanessa has died. You will understand that this account will now close. Thank you all for making her laugh," he wrote.

Earlier this month, at 38 weeks, Arango – from Bilbao in northern Spain – fainted while eating breakfast and was rushed to the hospital, according to Spanish news outlet El Mundo.

Doctors performed an emergency Cesarean section, but Arango suffered a fatal cardiac arrest during surgery.

However, the baby boy, since named Alvaro, survived and was at first fighting for his life before recovering to a stable condition.

People flocked to social media to share their tributes to deceased mother.

One friend wrote: "A wonderful and magical person has gone. She will always be in our hearts."

Garcia has kept his late wife's followers up to date with his life as a single dad.

"I never imagined a goodbye message in her honour would have led to such an avalanche of support," he wrote on Instagram.

Arango's popularity rose when she shared her experience with IVF.

She suffered two ectopic pregnancies, before finally falling pregnant.

On posting a photo of her positive test for pregnancy, she wrote: "The beginning of the end, the beginning of feeling alive, the end of suffering."
