Bored toddler lets loose on bride's veil during wedding ceremony

It can be hard for toddlers to sit still at the best of times, but at a wedding ceremony the task can be particularly challenging.

One toddler has come up with a perfect solution to his boredom during a recent wedding ceremony after spotting the bride's long, delicate veil spread temptingly before him.

He ran over and began stomping up and down on it as though it were a puddle of water.

The stomping quickly resulted in the veil pulling away from the startled bride's head.

In a video of the incident, shared on TikTok on January 10 by @dreamsbybrooklyn, a woman then runs into frame to rescue the veil from the toddler.

The video has been shared along with the caption: "I saw it happening and I just started recording ... sorry @nutella.miro #weddingtiktok #weddingfail #brideandgroom."

The video has been viewed 2.1 million times, with thousands of people sharing the clip and commenting on the toddler's actions.

"Nope thousands for my dress and a second for a gremlin absolutely not," writes one.

Another commenter praises the bride for laughing the incident off, but chastises the little boy's parents for not keeping a better eye on him.

"Its cool that the bride is chill about it, but absolutely not," they comment. "He never should have left the parents' side, he easily could have gotten hurt."

One TikTok follower says the video firms up their plan not to invite "kids under 12" to their future wedding.

"Can't find a sitter?" they write. "Sorry then you can't come."

Another adds: "As a mom I feel like that went way further than it should. Helicopter your children if you insist on bringing them."

One suggested it was unsafe of the toddler to be so close to the railing near the water, writing, "The way he would've went over the railing."

Another says they too think young children shouldn't be included in wedding ceremonies, writing, "Nah cause hear me out, kids won't remember their first wedding and even if they did they would be bored out of their minds."

The video also triggered memories of past brides and their experiences with children at their weddings, some good, some not good.

"Kids were running wild at my wedding, and it was my favorite part," they write. "They bring a special joy and excitement to big events. To each their own though."

Another writes: "People need to chill, I think that's hilarious and sweet, he was just curious. I wouldn't mind that at my wedding."

To the comments reprimanding the toddler's parents, a woman claiming to be the bride at the event writes: "LOL PPL CHILL I'm the bride and that was literally my favorite part of the wedding. It's a $30 veil from Amazon and that's my Nephew. Relax."
