Woman captures moment stranger tries random passwords on her front door

A woman has shared a chilling video of a stranger trying out different passcodes to unlock her front door.

Alena, who lives in South Korea and shares videos at @0804hae, has posted the video along with the caption: "Can women live in please wtf #fyp #foreignerinkorea #korealife #lifeinkorea".

In the video we see Alena lying on her bed, reacting to the stranger's attempts to seemingly enter her home.

Over the footage she has written: "Someone trying out random passwords on my door lock."

In the 11-second video, we hear the sound of buttons being pressed while Alena remains quiet inside. The stranger doesn't succeed in guessing the correct code.

She says in the comments section of the video: "Update: He didn't get the password right so I'm fine. I will call the building owner for CCTV and update y'all."

The video has been viewed 3.2 million times in the days since it was posted, with one of Alena's TikTok followers describing the experience as "chilling".

Others suggested the stranger may have been someone who was drunk, one writing, "Just tell them they're at the wrong door."

"I remember when students used to come home drunk and tried their passcode on my door four times then gave up and slept outside my door," says another.

To these suggestions, Alena explains "it was lunchtime" so unlikely to be someone who was drunk.

"That's scary," writes another. "Maybe call the police and show them this... I'm sorry."

One TikTok follower suggested she have a male friend record himself screaming: "Who is it?" so she can play it when something like this occurs to scare them off.

"Change your combo often," writes another.
