Another day, another TikTok trend taking the video-sharing platform by storm — except this one is not a DIY eyebrow tint gone wrong.

In fact, it's a DIY hack gone right.

TikTok user @anaugazz has gone viral with her iPhone photo editing tutorial, which yields golden hour-like photos without having to rise early to catch the sun's soft morning rays nor skip work in the afternoon to catch the last of them before they set.

But in a not-quite-60-second video — which has over 15.9 million views and 2.9 million likes — there's a lot of steps to take in.

Here's a broken down, step-by-step guide of how to do what has become known as the TikTok photo editing hack.

What is the TikTok photo editing hack?

In early May, TikToker @anaugazz went viral with a photo editing hack that at first makes photos look like overexposed Year 8 art projects, but, after a bit of patience and expert-looking but achievable editing steps, produces ethereal works of art.

The best bit? No editing app is required aside from iPhone's generic photos app, which is where any iPhone user's photos are stored anyway.

While TikTok can be home to many misleading tips and tricks, @anaugazz is no hack.

Her video has spurred many offshoot videos, including one by popular TikToker @chang._.a, which has over 4.3 million views and one million likes.

Ignore the first button on the bottom left, and move to the second from the left — exposure. Set exposure to 100 and brilliance (third from left) to 100.

Following the above steps turns the subjects of regular photos with no lighting effects into sunkissed summer fiends.

Internet users on TikTok and beyond have tried their hand at this, with many seeming to be pleased with the results.
