'This is not okay': Landlord's bizarre solution to ceiling issue

A hilarious TikTok video detailing a landlord's bizarre solution to a collapsed ceiling has both shocked and amused over a million viewers.

The clip, posted to the social media app by a user called Milie, shows a broken ceiling being held in place by a precarious plank of wood.

Milie can be heard laughing as the video pans the room, with a confused male roommate observing the "temporary solution".

"Told our landlord the ceiling was collapsing and this was his solution," the footage is captioned.

"It looks so ridiculous," Milie said in the video. "It's literally holding up your roof."

The video has already been viewed more than a million times, with TikTik users horrified by the landlord's attempt to stabilise the collapsing roof.

"This cannot possible be legal," one shocked person wrote.

"Please tell me they knocked off a few hundred on this month's rent with the promise of a better fix," another said.

One person added: "No rent until this is fixed PROPERLY. Love them all you want, this is not okay."

Milie was quick to reply to her followers' concerns, telling them she "loves" her landlord.

"You guys I love my landlord!!" she wrote. "I just don't know what the logic was here."
