Woman's revenge on 'petty' roommate who asked for money

Asking friends to pay you back, even for small amounts of money, can be a daunting experience.

Sometimes, however, the penny-pinching is taken a little too far.

For US woman Asa, her roommate's 'petty' request to be paid for a few slices of pizza was the final straw.

Posting her experience onto TikTok, Asa revealed her roommate requested a payment on Venmo for a "1/3 of a pizza" she had months ago.

'When your roommates Venmo request you for 1/3 of pizza they OFFERED you in January," Asa wrote in her now-viral video.

"So you take everything you've brought for the apartment to your room. Good luck making spaghetti with no pots, pans, spoons or noodles."

In the clip, Asa films herself packing away kitchen items and taking them up to her bedroom.

She then shows the camera the empty drawers and cupboards after she cleared them all out.

"Okay… act like you don't regularly eat my food and use my fancy expensive hand soaps," Asa captioned the clip.

In a follow-up video, Asa claimed her roommate is having a relationship with the landlord and has threatened to have her evicted.

"C'mon now, they are heartless and money hungry," she added.

Asa's followers flocked to the comment section to share their support and offered up their own stories from nightmare roommates.

"FROM JANUARY?????? yeah this is the right response," an outraged user wrote, who couldn't believe the money request was from so long ago.

"I let my roommates use all my stuff and I used their tea kettle for tea and they took it to their room. So I took an entire kitchen's worth of gadgets," one person wrote.

"My former roommate blocked me because I asked her to pay her portion of the utilities," another added.

One wrote: "My roommates kicked me out of the house and then got upset when I started taking everything I own - the dining chairs, the couch, the bookshelf."

Meanwhile, some commenters said it wasn't a good idea to respond with "petty" behaviour.

"I wouldn't fight petty with petty…it never ends well," one TikToker said.

"Everyone knows being petty back to roommates works every time with no complications," another said, with a touch of sarcasm.
