Tattoo artist recalls girlfriend's revenge on cheating partner

A tattoo artist has witnessed an awkward bust-up after a couple arrived for an appointment for matching tattoos.

Jamie Lo explains on TikTok the couple asked to have each other's names inked on their skin as a testament to how much they love each other.

Jamie says the man was "super nervous" about getting a tattoo but valiantly went first, saying he wanted to show his girlfriend she is the "love of his life". Once done, the man thanked Jamie, saying the process was "better than he ever thought it would be".

When he turned to the woman, she declared she wouldn't be having her boyfriend's name tattooed on her skin because she had recently discovered he was cheating on her.

Jamie recalled her saying, "See, that was the plan, but then I found out he was cheating on me with my best friend, so I thought it would be nice to give him a permanent reminder of this moment, and of me for the rest of his life."

The video has exploded, clocking up 10.7 million views, more than three million likes and almost 10,000 comments.

"Nooo not the curse of matching tattoos," said another appreciative viewer. "Matching tattoos isn't a curse lol. Y'all just put so much negative energy into it y'all make it bad. I have three with my wife and still plan on two more."

Another viewer commented, "At first I was like 'nooo don't get relationship tats' and then I was like 'hmmm I mean I'm not against this.'"

"That's kind of evil but I vibe with it," another said.

Joining in on the conversation, Jamie said he was "proud" of the girl.

In a subsequent video he explained the boyfriend admitted to cheating on her and begged her for forgiveness, but she wasn't interested.

To make matters worse for the man, he was left with the bill for the appointment.

"I'm glad you got paid," commented one viewer. "That was my main concern."
