This bride walked down the aisle carrying doughnuts
Paige Kirk (née Burgess) wanted a white wedding.
And, if that meant bouquets of frosted doughnut then, so be it.
The Sydney bride was married in Rydal in an outdoor ceremony over the weekend and surprised her bridal party with some sweet floral arrangements.
Kirk was the winner of a competition earlier this year run by by Dessert Boxes, who sought out a “trendsetting bride to be”.
And, after receiving hundreds of entries, she was named the lucky hen.
But she decided to surprise her bridesmaids on the day.
“My bridal party was so excited when they found out we were walking down the aisle with a bouquet of doughnuts,” she told 9Honey.
“My husband and I wanted to have fun at our wedding and we figured why not have doughnuts? Everyone loves doughnuts!”
Dare we say, we spy a new trend coming on.
