Ben Fordham's mum confused by 'bizarre' item being sold at Australia Post: 'You'll never guess'
Ben Fordham has shared his mother's confusion over "bizarre" items being sold by Australia Post.
The host of 2GB's Ben Fordham Live says his mum Veronica was particularly intrigued by one product she found in store.
"Have you ever noticed they sell some bizarre things at Australia Post?" he asks listeners.
"Now, I can confidently say you will never guess what my mum spotted ... and just to give you some understanding, if you don't know about some of the strange things they sell, many years ago I went into an Australia Post shop at Redfern and I thought, 'Why are they selling that?'"

Fordham had spotted a kitchen butane torch, the likes of which are used to toast creations like crème brûlée.
Of his mother's adventure, the radio host said she was so shocked by what she found, she took a photo of it and sent it to him.
On Fordham's phone was a photo of a SaraMia Comfort Bra with "exclusive criss-cross comfort lift straps" on sale for $12.95.
Fordham challenged his listeners to guess the item his mother had spotted, even offering a prize for a correct answer.

Many shared similar stories of strange items for sale at Australia Post.
A listener named Joe said his wife saw an air fryer being sold at their local store, "and she bought it." Peter saw "nostril hair clippers."
One listener guessed Fordham's mum spotted a projector on sale, while another suggested hot cross buns.
Other guesses included a garden hose and a vacuum cleaner.

"Lee said, 'I was tempted to buy an extendable steel back scratcher at Australia Post in Broadway'," Fordham shared.
"Why do they sell these strange things? They must be making money out of it."
It was listener Patty who correctly guessed what his mother saw, saying "extendable or adjustable sports bras."
