Steph Claire Smith has just shared a personal "life update" with her community.

The model, influencer fitness brand co-founder and podcast co-host revealed she has been diagnosed with ADHD in a recent episode of her podcast Kicpod.

"I've spent the whole last decade of my life publicly online and I've always been really open about what's going on in my life and struggles that I'm going through," she said on mic with her best friend, co-host and co-founder Laura Henshaw.

"And I just feel like with this, it's been something that's been taking up a lot of my mental capacity and it feels almost, like, inauthentic for me to be showing up online at the moment and not be talking about it, or at least mention that I'm going through it."

After making the caveat, Smith continued to reveal her personal news.

"Just the other week I was diagnosed with ADHD combined," she explained.

Smith explains that she first decided to look into a diagnosis last year after interviewing Em Rusciano, who has been open about her ADHD, on her KICBUMP podcast.

"I had Em Rusciano on the podcast, and she spoke about her later ADHD diagnosis and during the conversation there was just so much that I didn't realise but I was nodding along and agreeing with and relating to her story," Smith explained.

"At one point, she said that I might be a little bit neuro-spicy, which at the time I was like I don't know."

But it sparked some curiosity in Smith's mind and, after some encouragement from those around her, decided to pursue a diagnosis.

Speaking on the podcast, Smith shared that while there's still a lot to learn it's helped her get a better understanding of herself and the way her brain works.

"It's made me understand myself a little bit better as to why things have maybe been more challenging than maybe they should," she said.

"So I think it's, yeah, I just wanted to share it with everyone because I am still digging a lot into it and look, there's so much to unpack with it."
