Long gone are the days of The Wiggles' latest tracks taking up the Top 10 spots on your Spotify Wrapped.

As the annual tradition approaches, the app is finally implementing a feature that listeners have been begging for.

The new feature, Taste Profile, will let listeners hide songs and playlists they'd rather keep off their Spotify Wrapped, Daylists or Blends.

Users could already exclude playlists from their taste profile, but now they can exclude specific tracks.

It means mums and dads can choose to exclude playlists full of the Wiggles and K-pop Demon Hunters to figure out what they listen to without the kids.

It also means that those singular tracks won't impact your recommended songs of the week.

The feature also means you can avoid sleep sounds or white noise from affecting your top five most-played tracks.

"Personalisation is at the heart of Spotify," the company said.

"When you ask listeners what they love most about Spotify, more than 81 per cent cite our personalisation, and we're always evolving to help you create a listening journey that's uniquely yours.

"Starting today, you can exclude individual tracks from your Taste Profile, in addition to playlists."

"Excluding a track will lessen the impact of both past and future streams of that song on your recommendations, so your "just for the moment" listening doesn't end up skewing your Spotify experience."

Spotify's biggest competitor, Apple Music, has its own version of Wrapped called "Apple Music Replay" but it does not currently have a feature that lets you exclude tracks from your replay.
