Simple Ways to Save: How to save money and your health at the same time
It can be tempting to think the more money you spend on super foods and gym memberships the healthier you'll be, but this often isn't the case.
In fact, it can be more helpful to strip back on money you spend on those sorts of things, reassessing what you may be wasting on foods that don't do more for you than regular fruits and vegetables, or gym memberships that don't offer any more benefits than a jog and a 20-minute session on a free workout app.
If you really think about it, you can save money and your health at the same time by making a few simple swaps and habit changes to your lifestyle.

1. Stop smoking and drink less
Cigarettes are ridiculously expensive, not to mention ridiculously unhealthy, so think seriously about quitting. Alcohol can be pretty pricey too, so make more affordable choices and cut back a bit.
That's money in your pocket right away, and your lungs and liver will thank you.
2. Choose water over coffee every other time
We could all use more water, and swapping coffee for water is an easy way to save money and stop your reliance on caffeine, especially if you prefer the milky, sugary kind.

It's not about cutting coffee out entirely, it's just about having water every other time. Reduce, don't restrict.
3. Get your exercise in to and from work
Instead of driving or using public transport, think about cycling, jogging or walking to work. A lot of workplaces have showers these days, which makes it easier.
If not, at least consider cycling, jogging or walking home each day, or you can even get on and off the bus or train a few stops earlier to get those steps in. You can also try a number of free workout apps and do it at home.

4. Meal prep for the week
Tip number four is seriously meal prepping for the week. Choose a couple of dishes you love that are healthy, and batch cook them and pack for the week ahead.
This will seriously save on takeaway costs.
