The ’surreal’ parenting milestone Sam and Snezana Wood are still coming to terms with
Sam and Snezana Wood met on The Bachelor way back in 2015 and have been absolutely smitten ever since – just take one look at their loved-up selfies from Derby Day.
Almost 10 years on, the husband and wife duo believe their romance worked so well on the show because they were a little older than the average contestants.
"We were a bit older and we knew what we wanted," Snezana tells 9honey Celebrity from the Crown marquee.

That's why she and Sam are certain the singles who appear on the Golden Bachelor, a new format aimed at over-50s, will find the same kind of lasting love they did.
"I think people of that age, not that it's old, but I think they'll be a bit more comfortable in their own skin and with who they are and I think it could work really well," Sam weighs in.

They've made a beautiful life together post-reality TV with daughters Eve (from Snezana's previous relationship), 19, Willow, seven, Charlie, five, and Harper, two.
Sam's bond with Eve has been incredibly close for years now and he admits it's been hard to let go now that she's an adult living and studying in New York City.

Snezana admits that she's struck almost daily by the shocking yet wonderful realisation that her firstborn baby girl is all grown up.
It's a crazy thought but one that she embraces fully, especially because she has three other little ones to make memories with before they grow up too.

Willow, Charlie and Harper even 'helped' Snezana get ready for Derby Day in her chic black suit and matching hat – though how much their 'help' actually contributed to the success of her final look, Snezana can't quite say.
"They were helping their mummy," Sam quips, to which his wife replies, "They slowed the process down."
