Sam and Lucy Burgess welcome second child together, son Mack Samuel Burgess

Congratulations are in order for Sam Burgess and his wife Lucy, who have welcomed their second child together.

The couple, 36 and 33, took to Instagram to share the good news of the arrival of their son, Mack Samuel Burgess, in the form of a number of photos of the new addition to the family in their Cheshire home in the UK.

Lucy shared one of said photos to her Instagram Stories, writing in the caption, "How did I get so lucky? My family."

The first photo showed a close-up of the bub, followed by a new family photo, two of mum with her two babies, a video of big sister Robbie, two, being introduced to her new sibling, and a close-up on the baby's adorable foot.

"Mack Samuel Burgess, 30.09.25" read the caption, revealing the baby's name and birthday.

Lucy also shared one of the photos to her Instagram Stories, adding, "How did I get so lucky? My family."

Many friends and fans congratulated the parents on their new arrival.

"He's just beautiful !! Congratulations to you all," wrote one friend.

NRL player Liam Knight penned, "Amazing 🤍 congrats xx"

Lachlan Fitzgibbon added, "Congratulations guys!! He's beautiful! So special ❤️❤️"

"Congratulations and welcome Mack, what a beautiful additional to the family, so happy for you both," one commenter wrote.

The former NRL star's wife confirmed she was pregnant with their second child five months ago, announcing the news during an idyllic trip to Europe.

Sharing photos from their time in Capri, she showed off her growing bump while wearing a lacy white frock.

"A perfect weekend in Capri," she captioned a series of photos from the trip.

In many of the photos, she and Burgess were seen relaxing in the sunshine or enjoying meals together, but two of them in particular show off her pregnant belly.

The couple are already parents to daughter Robbie, who they welcomed in September 2023.

Burgess also has two children – Poppy, seven, and son Billy, five – from his previous marriage with journalist Phoebe Burgess, who he split from in 2019.

Their latest baby news comes after they tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Rome in October 2024.

They wed at Villa Aurelia, a gorgeous 17th-century Baroque property that features breathtaking views of the city.

She announced they had tied the knot with a simple post online, captioned with their wedding date.
