Former NRL star Sam Burgess' wife Lucy is pregnant with the couple's second child

Sam Burgess and his wife Lucy have got some wonderful news to share – their family is growing again! 

The former NRL star's wife confirmed she's pregnant with their second child on Tuesday, announcing the news during an idyllic trip to Europe. 

Sharing photos from their time in Capri, she showed off her growing bump while wearing a lacy white frock.

"A perfect weekend in Capri," she captioned a series of photos from the trip. 

In many of the photos she and Burgess were seen relaxing in the sunshine or enjoying meals together, but two of them in particular show off her pregnant belly.

Her announcement was flooded with congratulatory messages and warm wishes from her friends and followers. 

"Gorgeous!! Yayyy congrats you two," wrote one friend. 

Another commented, "Wow how incredible guys!! 😍😍 beautiful photos."

"You're glowing!! Congratulations!!!!!" commented another pal.

The couple are already parents to daughter Robbie, who they welcomed in September 2023.

Burgess also has two children – Poppy, seven, and son Billy, five – from his previous marriage with journalist Phoebe Burgess, who he split from in 2019.

Their latest baby news comes after they tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Rome in October 2024.

They wed at Villa Aurelia, a gorgeous 17th-century Baroque property that features breathtaking views of the city.

She announced they had tied the knot with a simple post online, captioned with their wedding date.

The bride wore a Champagne gown designed by Paula Nadal, while Burgess wore a classic black tuxedo.

Their daughter Robbie, was also included in the celebrations, was seen bouncing on her lap in a dress and booties of a similar hue to her mother's.

Burgess proposed in June 2023, just nine months after the couple went public with their relationship.

And just a few months later they welcomed daughter Robbie.

The family have done plenty of jet-setting through the UK and across Europe since her arrival, and it doesn't look like that'll be slowing up anytime soon.
