Meet Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden's 18 godchildren, including three future monarchs
As well as raising two children of her own, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden has a staggering 18 godchildren, including several royals from monarchies across Europe.
She shares daughter Princess Estelle and son Prince Oscar with her husband, Prince Daniel, and has close bonds with many of her goddaughters and godsons as well.
Keep reading to meet all her godchildren and learn how some of them will shape the future of their respective royal families.
Crown Prince Christian of Denmark
Crown Prince Christian of Denmark is arguably Victoria's most well-known godchild, as he stands to rule Denmark after his father King Frederik X.
He also appears to be the only one of Victoria's godchildren with Australian heritage thanks to his Tasmanian-born mother, Queen Mary.
Born in 2005, he's been training to one day rule from a young age and could learn a lot from his godmother, who is first in line to become Queen of Sweden.
Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece
Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece and Denmark was actually Victoria's first godson, with the princess agreeing to be his godmother shortly after he was born in 1998.
Son of Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece and grandson of King Constantine II of Greece, Constantine Alexios will never inherit a throne as the Greek royal family was ousted in the 1970s.
Princess Eléonore of Belgium
Born in 2008, Princess Eléonore of Belgium is the youngest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium.
Currently fourth in line to the Belgian throne, it's unlikely she'll ever be queen but she does have a future queen to look up to in the form of her godmother Victoria.
Eléonore's father also happens to be Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden's fourth cousin.
Princess Leonore, Duchess of Gotland
Pictured here on the day of her christening in 2014, Princess Leonore, Duchess of Gotland is yet another one of Victoria's many goddaughters.
Born that same year to Christopher O'Neill and Princess Madeleine of Sweden, who is Victoria's younger sister.
It only makes sense that Madeleine would ask her big sister to be godmother to her firstborn daughter.
Prince Alexander, Duke of Södermanland
Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, Victoria's younger brother, also asked her to be godmother to his first child with wife Princess Sofia of Sweden.
They welcomed son Prince Alexander, Duke of Södermanland in 2016 and Victoria happily agreed to add him to her long list of godsons.
Here's pictured here (top left) on a family holiday with his parents and brothers Prince Gabriel, Duke of Dalarna and Prince Julian, Duke of Halland.
Giuliana and Vivien Sommerlath
Though they're not princesses, Vivien (right) and Giuliana (left) Sommerlath do hold the honour of being Victoria's eldest goddaughters, born in 1995 and 1996 respectively.
They're the daughters of Queen Silvia of Sweden's brother Jörg Sommerlath, making them Victoria's cousins as well.
Here they're pictured as teenagers at the wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O'Neill in 2013. They're both in their twenties today.
Madeleine von Dincklage
Madeleine von Dincklage was born in 1999 to Victoria's cousin Baroness Sybilla von Dincklage (née Ambler) and became her third goddaughter.
Here, Madeleine is pictured at the Crown Princess' wedding to Prince Daniel in 2010, where she and many of Victoria's other godchildren served as bridesmaids and page boys.
Ian De Geer
Ian de Geer is the son of another of Victoria's cousin, this time Baroness Christina-Louise Silfverschiöld.
Born in 2002, he became her second godson and served as a page boy at her wedding, pictured here holding hands with Christian of Denmark.
Leopold Sommerlath
Speaking of page boys, Leopold Sommerlath also received that honour at his godmother's royal wedding in 2010.
Also born in 2002 to one of Victoria's cousins, Patrick Sommerlath, he is also the grandson of Queen Silvia's brother Walther Sommerlath, making Leopold and Victoria second-cousins.
