The Queen left 'hurt and disappointed' by Meghan
There are claims the Queen was left "hurt and disappointed" when the Duchess of Sussex skipped visiting Balmoral Castle in order to support friend Serena Williams in the US Open.
Meghan took a commercial flight to the US on Friday to watch as the tennis star compete in Saturday's final, in which Williams was beaten by Bianca Andreescu.
In doing so, the royal mum missed the Queen's Highland Games, which royal insiders are now claiming disappointed the Queen.

One source told the Mail on Sunday the move was seen as an "outright snub" to Her Majesty, leaving her "hurt and disappointed".
The monarch enjoys bringing together family and friends at the Balmoral estate in Scotland for the event.
It is reported Meghan and Prince Harry's son Archie is yet to visit the Queen's summer home with his parents, although at just four months of age, he's surely too young to enjoy the event.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes told The Sun the Duke and Duchess declined the invitation due to Meghan's last minute trip to the US Open and Archie's age.
The Queen was joined by Prince Charles and Camilla at the Braemar Gathering Highland Games on Saturday, Her Majesty wearing a purple coat and matching hat as she joined 15,000 spectators at the annual event.

The monarch is currently staying at her nearby summer residence at Balmoral, where she hosted British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his girlfriend Carrie Symonds over the weekend.
The Prime Minister was forced to cut the weekend-long visit short due to Brexit discussions.
The Highland Games is held on the first Saturday of September at The Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park.
