Princess Anne surprises in the style stakes on Day Two of Royal Ascot

Queen Elizabeth skipped Royal Ascot again for its second day but her children were out in force.

Prince Charles attended alongside wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as well as Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

Princess Anne was also spotted trackside in a slinky green jacquard silk dress, which came below the knee in accordance with the strict dress code for the royal enclosure.

The emerald number had a collar and buttons giving it almost a shirtdress look up top with puffy sleeve detailing.

The Princess Royal accessorised with cream-coloured gloves, a matching headpiece, handbag and nude-coloured kitten-heeled court shoes.

The 70-year-old also donned a twin strand of pearls, gold earrings and a gold brooch, along with her signature sports sunglasses on the hot summer's day.

The Countess of Wessex opted for a skirt and blouse combo with a sheer and plain top-half accompanied by a full and floral printed bottom-half.

Sophie added a lavender-coloured feathered headpiece and was seen wearing a matching face mask.

Her husband, Prince Edward, donned his morning suit and accompanied it with a navy blue face mask featuring a sailing ship painted on the side.

The Earl of Wessex's mask was particularly visible as he presented jockey Frankie Dettori the winner's trophy, after he ran Indie Angel to victory in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes.

Prince Charles also donned a three-piece suit, opting for a grey outfit paired with a lavender tie and pocketchief.

The look nicely complemented his wife's cream-coloured dress and hat ensemble, complete with matching clutch and face mask.

Charles and Camilla together presented the trophy to Ryan Moore, the winning jockey of the Prince Of Wales's Stakes on Wednesday afternoon.

Royal Ascot is set to continue until Saturday and it's expected Her Majesty will attend towards the end of the week, after a busy G7 schedule over the past week.
