Queen Elizabeth accompanied by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall for second day in a row

Queen Elizabeth has attend a service to mark Westminster Abbey's 750th anniversary.

And for a second day in a row, Her Majesty was accompanied by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

The duo we greeted by The Very Reverend Dr John Hall, Dean of Westminster, with the Duchess following behind the monarch as they made their way to their seats in the South Lantern.

At the beginning of the service a bouquet of roses was laid, on behalf of Her Majesty, at the Shrine of St. Edward the Confessor by the Captain of The Queen's Scholars.

The service marked 750 years since Edward the Confessor's original church was rebuilt in the new French Gothic architecture, under the reign of King Henry III.

It was consecrated on 13th October 1269, with St Edward's Shrine at its centre.

The Abbey has played host to a number of iconic Royal occasions, including every Coronation since 1066 and a total of 16 Royal Weddings.

On their way out, the Queen and Duchess both received posies from the children of Westminster Abbey staff.

The outing marks the second day in a row that Camilla has accompanied Her Majesty on an official engagement.

The Duchess of Cornwall was by the Queen's side in the carriage ride to open Parliament on Monday as well.

Inside the House of Commons, Prince Charles took his place beside the monarch, with Camilla sitting just off to the side of them both in all her formal regalia.
